RMIT has begun delivering a unique industry-based 'Earn and Learn' model, where students gain their qualification while working full-time with an industry partner.
But what is 'Earn and Learn', and how does it differ from traditional learning and teaching models?
What is Earn and Learn?
Earn and Learn is a trailblazing industry-based degree qualification.
It is unlike traditional training models or work placements because students are fully integrated in the workplace and undertake training as part of their full-time employment.
Students earn a salary while employed at a real workplace, learning from experts and dealing with real-world challenges.
The model is co-designed and delivered with the state government and recognisable industry partners and employers like the Suburban Rail Loop Authority, Astral and Ixom across areas like IT, cyber security, engineering and health.
Alongside major employers, we are working with state governments around the country and local councils in Victoria to deliver Earn and Learn models in areas of immediate need.
