E-waste can contain hazardous and valuable materials which shouldn't end up in landfill. We are no longer allowed to collect it in our household bins. However, it's easy to recycle old and unwanted electronic items.
Your electrical items can be:
- put out with your booked hard waste service and our contractor will collect and recycle it safely. Eligible Knox households can book a hard waste collection.
- dropped off at the Knox Recycling & Waste Transfer Station. Please note fees may apply depending on the items but there is no charge for televisions and computer monitors.
- dropped off at an industry-run recycling drop-off point. Find a list of drop off points near you.
