Wollongong City Libraries is shaking things up for the 10th anniversary of Comic Gong with some tweaks to the program.
This year, Comic Gong fans can get excited for a couple of events held across the month of May. The events include a Family Cosplay Day at the Corrimal Library and Community Centre and a Cosplay Ball for adult cosplayers at the Wollongong Town Hall.
"We're pleased to be able to offer such a variety of events for the community members who know and love Comic Gong," Wollongong City Lord Mayor Councillor Gordon Bradbery AM said.
"The ongoing works at the Illawarra Performing Arts Centre have meant that we've had to rethink our usual Festival approach. This year we've made some tweaks to the program so that we can offer something fun and unique for our community.
"It's a pleasure to be able to bring Comic Gong back to the Corrimal Library and Community Centre for the Family Day Out. As some fans will know, the Comic Gong magic first began at the Corrimal Library ten years ago with a handful of activities and artists.
"This year we'll be bringing some of the popular elements of the Comic Gong Festival to the Corrimal Library for people of all ages to enjoy. There's no need to book tickets to the Family Cosplay Day, and it's free."
The Family Cosplay Day at Corrimal Library promises lots of fun for the whole family!
