As the days gets shorter, liven up your evenings with thought-provoking discussions at the National Library this May. There will be an in conversation event with Jelena Dockic, a panel event with two prominent Australia historians, and we will be celebrating the release of a new NLA Publishing title, If Everyone Cared Enough.

    Jelena Dokic will be in conversation about her latest book, Fearless, with Kathryn Favelle, Director of Reader Services at the National Library of Australia.

  • Provocations: Arguing about history

    Wednesday 8 May | 6pm to 7pm | $15 members; $20 non-members

    The Friends of the National Library of Australia present Professor Frank Bongiorno and Professor Peter Stanley who will discuss where Australian history is now and where it is going.

  • Book launch: If Everyone Cared Enough by Margaret Tucker MBE

    Wednesday 15 May | 6pm to 7.30pm | Free

    A celebration of Margaret Elizabeth (Liliardia) Tucker MBE (1904-1996).

    Join members of Margaret Tucker's family for a celebration of Margaret's life and work, and to mark the release of the new edition of her autobiography, If Everyone Cared Enough.
