If you could jump into a time machine and transport yourself to 2050 what sort of future would you like to see for the Mitchell community?
What do you love now that you'd like to keep in the future? What would you change or introduce to make the future better? Whatever it is, Mitchell Shire Council wants to hear from you.
Council launched the Mitchell Community Vision 2050 project last week, and it's a once-in-a-generation chance for you to make your mark on your community and help propel Mitchell into 2050 and beyond.
Until Monday 10 May, Council will be popping up across the shire at local markets, events, main streets, cafes and online. The early train commuters are also in for a special treat with free coffee at a number of stations later in the month.

Council wants to know what you love about the community now, what you wish for the community in the future, what you need or what is missing as well as what is most needed to improve connections, health and wellbeing and job creation.
The responses will help develop a new 30-year community vision, a four-year Council Plan and the next Health and Wellbeing Plan. The input will also guide advocacy, funding priorities and the planning and delivery of programs, infrastructure and services into the future from Council and other organisations.
Council is also seeking input from people who might invest in Mitchell, visit or move here in the future.
