Weak Winter has had his L-Plates on full display this week, with the Greens in the driver's seat as his instructor.
At the first opportunity, the hapless Mr Winter has taken a hard veer left, cosying up with the Greens.
His manoeuvre left Tasmania a heartbeat away from another destructive Labor Green coalition, leaving his credibility in tatters.
And then yesterday he again stood with the Greens as his Spirits motion that would have wrapped the project in red-tape was sensibly voted down by the Parliament.
The fact is that the Parliament has rightfully humiliated Mr Winter after his arrogant presumption that he had the numbers to enable his red-tape motion to pass.
The opposition has had a shocker week showing Tasmanians he doesn't have the ticker.
Will he redeem himself today?
