Police are reiterating the importance of being properly prepared when enjoying Tasmania's wilderness, after a personal locator beacon (PLB) activation at Frenchman's Cap early this morning. "A man was located approximately two kilometres from the PLB signal, with symptoms of fatigue," said Inspector Steve Jones. "The individual involved had an out-of-date PLB, making it difficult to locate him once teams were on site." "As we get closer to summer it's important for everyone to remember to be prepared, with up-to-date equipment."
