Police investigating damage caused to a fence on Bonshaw Weir Road at Texas are calling for public assistance as border compliance measures continue with the Chief Health Officer's direction.
Officers believe the damage may have been caused by a white Nissan patrol station wagon or red sedan.
There should not be anyone travelling from NSW into Queensland unless they have an exemption, or they are an essential worker as previously outlined above.
Cross border travel should be strictly for essential reasons.
Personnel from Navy, Army and Air Force are assisting QPS at Police Check Points along the QLD/NSW border including Texas to minimise non-essential travel.
Texas Police are encouraging Qld and NSW residents living on the border to get vaccinated through local GP's in Inverell if NSW or Texas Medical Surgery if a Texas resident, if feeling unwell get tested at your local hospital in your state.
Queensland residents should rethink the need to cross the border into NSW and is it absolutely necessary, NSW residents rethink their need to cross the border into Queensland when services are available in nearby centres in NSW, regularly check and keep up to date with the CHO's directions.
