Wilful Exposure Charges, Wynnum West

Detectives from the Bayside Child Protection and Investigation Unit have charged a 26-year-old man with wilful exposure in relation to incidents at Wynnum West in September and October 2024.

On 26 September 2024 at approximately 11.40am, a man was approached near a community BMX track off Kianawah Road, by another man who allegedly exposed himself before leaving the scene on foot.

Just before 5pm on 28 October 2024, a man allegedly exposed himself to members of the public near the same location.

Reports were received by Bayside police who increased proactive patrols of the area and commenced investigations into the incidents.

Following investigations, including review of CCTV and witness accounts, detectives this morning attended a Wynnum West address where a 26-year-old man was taken into custody.

He has been charged with two counts of wilful exposure and is expected to appear before Wynnum Magistrates Court on March 10.

Investigations remain ongoing and police urge anyone with information or relevant footage to come forward.
