With Rebecca White confirmed to seek candidacy for Federal Labor at the upcoming Federal election, she must outline her intentions as to whether she will remain in the Tasmanian Parliament while campaigning for a Federal seat.
It is highly inappropriate for a Tasmanian-elected Member of Parliament to campaign as a Federal Candidate – an entirely different Parliament.
Tasmanian taxpayers deserve a full-time Tasmanian Member of Parliament who campaigns for their local state issues, not those of Federal Labor.
Will Ms White do what's right and stand down to allow a new Member to be elected and represent the people of Lyons at a state level?
Or will Mr Winter have to ask her to move on?
