Labor's Shadow Treasurer, Josh Willie, has this morning proven he has absolutely no understanding of GBE Governance and financing frameworks.
In an embarrassing blunder on this morning's radio, Mr Willie showed his utter incompetence when he falsely confirmed the radio host's claim that TT-Line had missed debt repayments.
Radio Host: "So they haven't been able to service it? In other words, when you and I take out a bank loan we have to pay every month, but they haven't fulfilled that obligation? Is that what you are claiming?"
Willie: "Yeah, yeah...and that's triggered an early warning sign..."
Not only is this claim factually incorrect, but he has also confirmed Labor is willing to say anything to trash TT-Line's reputation.
TT-Line has never missed a payment.
Everything is on the public record. This was made clear in GBE Scrutiny just last month and Parliament the month before.
If Labor and Mr Willie can't comprehend basic economics and financing frameworks, how could Tasmanians possibly trust him to be in charge of the State's finances?
