Willoughby Council Seeks Diverse Voices for Panel

Willoughby City Council

Willoughby City Council is calling on residents to help decision-making for our city by registering their interest in joining our new Community Voice Panel. Council makes decisions every day that impact our parks, roads, events, and neighbourhood spaces. That's why it's important that we hear from a broad cross-section of the community, including young people, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and people with disabilities.

Willoughby Mayor Tanya Taylor said Council's work should reflect the diversity of the community it serves, not just those who speak the loudest or most often.

"The Community Voice Panel will be a sounding board for Council projects, helping us build a more connected, inclusive, and transparent Council," says Mayor Taylor.

"This isn't just about surveys and meetings, it's about sharing your lived experience, your insights and your voice to help shape the future of our city."

Right now, there's an opportunity to take part in initial forums that will help shape how the panel operates and support recruitment from across the community in the coming months. Expressions of interest are open until 16 June 2025.
