Willoughby City Council is bolstering the customer service experience for residents with the opening of a new Customer Service Centre at the Victor Street office, delivering greater access to face-to-face engagement.

The Customer Service Centre has moved from level four to the ground floor at 31 Victor Street and is fully accessible with improved facilities including an office, toilet and upgraded lift lobby.

This transition makes access to council's customer services simpler, particularly for people with disability or mobility challenges.

Mayor Tanya Taylor said this improvement to customer service delivery was in line with meeting the needs of a diverse community.

"We know face-to-face customer service is the preferred point of contact for some residents and now we are making that experience better and more accessible.

"This is just one example of how we are providing easier access to customers and a better working environment for staff.

"We continue to look at ways we can improve the customer service experience for residents, and this is another step in the right direction."
