Proveda

The annual, free event unites community members impacted by suicide with a special memorial and morning tea

Frenchs Forest, NSW - 18 November 2024: For this year's Global Day of Remembrance for the International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day, Proveda (formerly CCNB) is hosting its annual WINGS (We Inspire New Growth After Suicide) of Hope gathering, uniting and offering support to those impacted by suicide loss in the community. Taking place on the 23rd of November at Rocky Point Island, Balmoral Beach in Mosman from 10:30am to 1:00pm, the special remembrance gathering is free to attend, serving as a poignant reminder that no one needs to face this journey alone and aims to inspire hope through a creative acknowledgement of grief and shared experience.

The gathering, hosted and led by Proveda's experienced suicide prevention and bereavement support team, will include a small, creative ceremony that attendees may participate in or observe, along with a few words by Proveda's Practice Manager, Mental Health Rebecca Rienecker followed by a lovely morning tea for those who wish to stay and connect with others.

"The WINGS of Hope gathering provides an opportunity to meet and connect with others in an informal setting" said Proveda's Practice Manager of Mental Health, Rebecca Rienecker. "We hope the gathering highlights to those who have lost someone to suicide that they are not alone and there is support available."
