Winter Wonderland Success: Bayside

More than 10,000 people turned out to enjoy Winter Wonderland in Shaw Street, Bexley North on the weekend that included ice-skating, market stalls and an appearance by Bluey and Bingo.

Winter Wonderland transformed Shaw Street, Bexley North into a vibrant market with a great variety of stalls and food trucks that were enjoyed by the community, with the large crowd also helping to give local business a boost.

Local families and the wider community enjoyed the terrific entertainment and activities on a sunny winter's day, including the opportunity to skate on real ice.

Bluey and Bingo were also on hand to entertain the crowds with several performances during the afternoon, while Snow Queen stilt walkers, and colourful light displays enchanted visitors well into the evening.

The ice-skating rink was so popular it was also opened the following day.

This event was made possible by a $150,000 Open Streets Program grant from Transport for NSW.
