Detectives from the Geelong Crime Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses to assist with their investigation into a stabbing incident in North Geelong on Friday night.
It is understood a 15-year-old boy and two of his friends were confronted by two unknown men in an alleyway alongside Separation Street around 11pm.
The victim ran from the alleyway to Separation Street before being confronted by the two offenders.
One of the offenders stabbed the victim to his upper body, before both offenders fled west on Separation Street.
The victim, a 15-year-old Bell Park boy, required surgery and is recovering in hospital.
One offender is described as male, of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, around 18-years-old, approximately 175cm, and a medium build.
He was wearing a blue jumper, black pants and white shoes.
The second offender is described as male, of Caucasian appearance, around 18-years-old.
He was wearing a blue and red zip-up jumper, a white shirt, black or grey pants and riding a black bicycle.
