The largest senior's festival in the Southern Hemisphere is coming to Wollondilly, ready to celebrate our community's incredible seniors.
The 2022 NSW Seniors Festival, in partnership with Council, will be launching the Wollondilly Seniors Healthy Lifestyle Guide; a printed booklet to encourage seniors to connect in with local services.
The Guide will be launched by Mayor Matt Gould at The Oaks Heritage Centre & Museum on Friday 1 April as part of a day of activities where participants can immerse themselves in yesteryear and enjoy A Step Back in Time.
Mayor Gould said, "After months of social distancing it's time to come together and reconnect in person, and I'm looking forward to enjoying a cuppa and some home baked treats with our seniors at the Heritage Centre."
"I'm really excited to be launching the Wollondilly Seniors Healthy Lifestyle Guide, which will provide a wealth of information on all the services available to our older residents across the Shire."
Activities for A Step Back in Time at the Heritage Centre will include card making, butter churning, and apple peeling with light refreshments available.
