Woman almost six times legal limit in Southern Highlands

A woman has returned a breath-test reading almost six times the legal limit after being stopped in the Southern Highlands this morning, NSW Police say.

Police from The Hume Local Area Command stopped the 33-year-old woman as she drove along Moss Vale Road at Burradoo, near Bowral, about 4am tomorrow.

Police will allege the 4WD was seen swerving across the lane several times as it was driven south.

When a roadside breath test returned a positive reading, the driver was arrested and taken to Bowral Police Station, where a breath analysis returned a reading of 0.281.

Checks revealed the woman’s driver’s licence had been cancelled in 2007.

The woman, from Moss Vale, has been charged with high-range PCA, and drive while cancelled.

She was given conditional bail to appear at Moss Vale Local Court on Tuesday 21 February 2017.
