A woman and man have been charged following a serious assault at Port Pirie West yesterday afternoon, according to SA Police.
At 1.30pm on Saturday 25 June, police were called to a home following reports of a disturbance and two women fighting in the front yard.
When police arrived, they found one woman unconscious on the ground and immediately commenced CPR until ambulance crews arrived.
The woman was taken to Port Pirie Hospital in a critical condition and then flown to the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
A 44-year-old woman from Port Pirie West and a 46-year-old man from Solomontown have both been charged with assault causing serious harm.
They have been refused bail and will appear in the Port Pirie Magistrates Court on Monday
Police advise that this is not a random incident and all parties are known to each other.
