An investigation is underway after an alleged road rage assault in Sydney's south west overnight.
About 12.50am today (Sunday 7 July 2024), emergency services were called to Rawson Road, Guildford, following reports of a stabbing.
On arrival, officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command were told that two cars – a Toyota Corolla carrying two women in their 20s, and a black Toyota Aurion carrying two women – had stopped at the intersection of the Hume Highway and Woodville Road, Villawood, before both drivers exited their vehicles and approached each other.
One of the women allegedly stabbed the other before leaving in the black Aurion.
The two women drove the Corolla to Guildford before calling emergency services, where a 26-year-old was treated for lacerations and taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.
Police established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
