A New South Wale woman has struck gold, winning a staggering $4.8 million in the Set for Life lottery.
The Kingsdale resident residentheld the only division one winning entry nationally in Set for Life draw 3319, drawn Friday 6 September 2024 and can look forward to a total division one prize of $4.8 million, paid in monthly instalments of $20,000 a month for the next 20 years.
“I’ve been waiting for this phone call!” the winning woman cheered when a lotto official to confirm the winning news.
“Oh my god. My stomach is churning! Thank you so much.
“I’m still in shock. It doesn’t feel real.
“I checked it Saturday morning, but I was waiting to have it confirmed before I got too excited.
“It was funny because I kept going about my weekend and I would forget about it at times and then it would hit me all over again.
“I shared the news with Mum and Dad, and they were in shock.
“I’d only really started playing lotteries in the last year. I obviously was hopeful, but I never thought I’d actually win division one!”
With $20,000 about to land into her bank account on the 15th of every month for the next two decades, the young woman shared that the prize would change her life.
“It’s completely life-changing,” she wept.
“I feel like I haven’t been able to start my life, but this allows me to do so much.
“I’m set for life! Seriously, this allows me to have a future I have always dreamed of.
“I can’t believe I’ll be able to buy a house. It’s on the top of my list but I’d love to do some travel too.
“Thank you so much!”
The winning numbers in Set for Life draw 3319 on Friday 6 September 2024 were 29, 26, 28, 24 10, 11 and 32, while the supplementary numbers were 14 and 35.
