Woman Charged After Bathurst Search Warrants

A woman will face court charged following a search warrant in the state's central tablelands.

Just after 6am today (Wednesday 11 September 2024), officers attached to Chifley Police District executed two search warrants at homes on Rocket Street and McGrath Street, Bathurst, to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs in the area.

During the search officers located and seized cannabis, prohibited weapons, mobile phones, white crystalised substance believed to be methylamphetamine, identification documents, a laser pointer, coin collection, and a rifle scope.

A 26-year-old woman was given a cannabis caution.

A 54-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Bathurst Police Station.

She was charged with two counts of possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit.

The woman was refused bail to appear at Bathurst Local Court today (Wednesday 11 September 2024).
