Woman Charged in Sydney Suburbs Damage Probe

A woman will face court tomorrow charged over her alleged involvement in the malicious damage of vehicles and buildings in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs last month.

About 1am on Wednesday 11 December 2024, emergency services responded to reports of a vehicle on fire in Magney Street, Woollahra.

Fire & Rescue NSW extinguished the fire; however, the vehicle was destroyed.

This vehicle and a second vehicle, along with two buildings and the footpath along Magney Street were also allegedly graffitied. At this time, the total estimated value of the damage is about $20,000.00.

Officers attached to Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation under Strike Force Holony.

Following inquiries, Strike Force Pearl detectives arrested a 34-year-old woman at a home in Liverpool about 8.30am today (Monday 20 January 2025).

She was taken to Liverpool Police Station and charged with participate criminal group contribute criminal activity, accessory before the fact to destroy or damage property, and be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner.

The woman has been refused bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court tomorrow (Tuesday 20 January 2025)
