Woman charged over glassing, NSW

A woman will face court charged over an alleged glassing in Double Bay last night, NSW Police say.

About 9.45pm (Saturday 26 May 2018), police were called to a licenced premises on Bay Street, after reports a security guard had been assaulted.

Officers from Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command were told the man attempted to assist a woman before he was allegedly struck in the face with a wine glass, which shattered on impact.

The man sustained minor injuries to his face but did not require medical treatment.

A 26-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Waverley Police Station where she was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and excluded person fail to leave premises when required.

She was granted bail and will appear at the Downing Centre Local Court on Friday 22 June 2018.
