A woman is due in court charged with murder following the death of a man near Shellharbour yesterday.
Emergency services were called to Saturn Crescent, Dunmore, about 3pm (Tuesday 28 January 2025), after a 25-year-old man was found critically injured.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man for a stab wound to his abdomen; however, he died at the scene.
Officers attached to Lake Illawarra Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation, with the assistance of the State Crime Command's Homicide Squad.
Following inquiries, a 35-year-old woman was arrested at a home at Albion Park Rail this morning.
She was taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station where she was charged with murder.
She has been refused bail to appear in Wollongong Local Court today (Wednesday 29 January 2025).
Police believe a number of people were at the scene at the time and inquiries are continuing.
