A pedestrian has been taken to hospital with life threatening injuries following a suspected collision in Mulgrave this afternoon.
Police have been told the woman was walking in the vicinity of a doctor's clinic on Springvale Road when it is believed she may have been struck by a reversing vehicle about 12.15pm.
The 93-year-old woman was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries.
The driver of the car, a 54-year-old Dandenong man, stopped at the scene and has been interviewed by detectives.
At this stage, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear with Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives still to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
