A woman has sustained life-threatening injuries after being struck by a truck in Werribee early this morning.
The woman pulled her car into an emergency stopping zone on the Princes Freeway shortly before 1am.
At this early stage, it's believed the woman stepped onto the road and was hit by a b-double truck.
She was taken to hospital in a critical condition with severe leg injuries.
The male truck driver was uninjured and stopped at the scene.
Police will investigate to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
