Woman Critically Hurt in Pillar Valley Crash

A woman has been seriously injured following crash on the state's north overnight.

About 6pm (Sunday 28 July 2024), emergency services were called to Wooli Road, Pillar Valley, about 18km east of Grafton, following reports of a single-vehicle crash.

Officers attached to Coffs/Clarence Police District were told a blue Kia Sportage left the roadway and crashed into a driveway before rolling and landing in an adjacent paddock on its roof.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the driver – a 27-year-old woman for serious leg and internal injuries, before being flown to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

The passenger – an 18-month-old girl was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital for assessment. She was not injured.

A crime scene was established as police investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
