A woman has died after being shot during a drive by shooting in Sydney's south west overnight.
About 11pm yesterday (Monday 14 April 2025), emergency services were called to a home on Dickens Road, Ambarvale following reports a woman had been shot.
Officers attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command arrived to find a 65-year-old woman had suffered a gunshot wound to her leg after an unknown vehicle had fired several times at the home before leaving the scene.
She was treated by police and NSW Ambulance paramedics, however she died at the scene.
A man – aged 34 – and a woman – aged 21 – were also in the home at the time; however, they were uninjured.
Police with assistance from State Crime Command's Homicide Squad have commenced Strike Force Apslawn to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
