Woman Dies After Incident At Campsie

A woman has died following an incident at a property in Sydney's south west.

About 3pm yesterday (Monday 25 November 2024), emergency services were called to a unit complex on Vicliffe Avenue, Campsie, after a woman was found in a stairwell with burns to her body.

The 44-year-old was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics, before being taken to Concord Hospital.

No one else was injured in the incident.

Officers attached to Campsie Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

About 9:25pm yesterday, police were informed the woman had died in hospital.

She is yet to be formally identified.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
