Woman Due In Court Over Trespass At Moree Motel

A woman is due in court for allegedly trespassing in a Moree motel earlier this month.

Police were called to a motel on Alice Street about 12.30am on Sunday 5 November 2024, following reports of a break and enter.

Officers attached to New England Police District arrived and were told a group of people had attempted to enter multiple rooms of the motel.

Inquiries revealed one woman had knocked on several doors before leaving; police could find.no evidence of anyone else, other than guests, at the motel.

Following investigations, a 41-year-old woman was arrested about 11pm yesterday (Tuesday 12 November 2024) and was taken to Moree Police Station.

The woman has been charged with enter enclosed land not prescribed premises without lawful excuse.

Police issued the woman a future court attendance notice to appear Moree Local Court on Monday 6 January 2025.
