A woman remains in hospital with facial injuries after allegedly being punched by a man at Martin Place this morning, NSW Police say.
Police have been told an argument broke out involving several people as they left a hotel shortly after 3.15am today tomorrow.
A 24-year-old woman intervened and was knocked to the ground after allegedly being punched in the face by a 20-year-old man.
The woman was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to St Vincent’s Hospital where she is awaiting tests.
The man was arrested by police from Sydney City Local Area Command and taken to Surry Hills Street Police Station.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stopers.
