A woman has been killed after being hit by a car while out walking in Sydney's west today.
Emergency services were called to River Road, Leonay – near Penrith - about 4.30pm (Tuesday 28 April 2020), after reports a woman had been hit by a car.
On arrival officers found a woman on the roadway deceased.
The driver of a small silver vehicle - believed to be involved in crash - was spoken to by police before being taken to Nepean Hospital for mandatory tests.
A crime scene remains in place while further investigations are carried out by officers from Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit.
