A woman and a teenage boy will face court, charged with an alleged break and enter in the state's west earlier this week.

Yesterday (Wednesday 15 January 2025), officers attached to Central West Police District were called to a home on McLachlan Street, Orange, following reports of an alleged break and enter.
Police were told between 8pm on Tuesday (14 January 2025( and 12.45am yesterday, a number of people allegedly broke into the property, stealing the keys to a Honda Civic before driving off with the vehicle.
Following inquiries, about 1pm yesterday, officers attached to Central West and Chifley Police District located the vehicle in the rear yard of a property on Pindari Place, Orange.
Police arrested a 16-year-old boy and a 34-year-old woman at the scene before they were taken to Orange Police Station.
The boy was charged with two counts enter building / land with intent commit indictable offence, drive conveyance taken without consent of owner and never licensed person drive vehicle on road.
He was refused bail to appear before a children's court today (Thursday 16 January 2025).
The woman was charged with be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner, receive property – theft – serious indictable offence and dishonestly obtain financial advantage by deception.
She was given strict conditional bail to appear before Orange Local Court on Thursday 6 March 2025.
