Women's Day Event: Speakers & Student-Catered Tea

In celebration of International Women's Day 2025, we invite the community to join our annual community event to be hosted at Ararat Secondary College.

International Women's Day is held on March 8 every year, and recognises women's achievements without regard to divisions, whether national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political.

Ararat Rural City's event will be held on Wednesday March 5 at 10am, with morning tea catered by the students of Ararat Secondary College. The celebration will be MC'd by Mayor Jo Armstrong.

"I am absolutely delighted to be MCing this year's International Women's Day event at Ararat Secondary College," says Cr Armstrong.

"It's important to involve our young people in celebrating the achievements of women throughout history, as well as the successes the women of our own community are accomplishing right now. The intrepid and inspiring speakers at our IWD event will undoubtedly activate the imaginations of the next generation of women leaders sitting amongst the audience."
