On Thursday, Feb. 17, the Wond'ry, Vanderbilt's center for innovation, will be hosting its first women's entrepreneur summit in partnership with the Renaissance Marketing Group and Boss Talks Network.
The daylong educational and motivational conference is for women entrepreneurs at all stages of their business journey; it will cover all aspects of growing or starting a business, with an emphasis on social media marketing, branding, accounting and legal matters, influencer marketing, hiring and management, operations and more. Throughout the day, attendees can participate in a pitch competition, networking opportunities, workshops and panel discussions and have the opportunity to shop local at a market featuring Nashville women-owned businesses.
"One of the most rewarding aspects of our work at the Wond'ry is providing a safe and creative environment for future women founders, leaders and changemakers," said Deanna Meador, assistant director of the Wond'ry. "This unique event is designed to empower women to use their voices and tell their stories."
The day's keynote speaker is Brittany Driscoll, former vice president of marketing for Drybar. During her tenure at Drybar, Driscoll helped take the company from $30 million to more than $100 million in revenue. Meador, also founder of Couture Technologies; the Renaissance Marketing Group team; Brielle Cotterman, publicity and celebrity expert; Rachel Kennedy, founder of The Curated SEO Method; and Jay Jay, a personal branding expert, will speak during the day's events.
