Young people of Melbourne's west are encouraged to put their creative skills to the test in the Woods Street Youth Art Prize.
The biennial prize and exhibition showcase artwork by people aged 14 to 25 who live, work, study or have a connection with the western suburbs.
Entries are accepted across all artistic media, including drawings, paintings, prints, photography, sculpture, film, performance art, mixed media and more.
Submissions are open until 3pm, Thursday 29 August 2024. Selected artworks will be exhibited at Woods Street Arts Space in Laverton in November.
Prizes are on offer across a number of categories and will be presented at the opening night event on Friday 15 November. Prizes on offer this year are:
Open category - $1000
Runner-up open - $500
Hobsons Bay artist - $400
Artist encouragement award (under 20) - $200
Artist encouragement award (over 20) - $200
People's choice award - $400
