Wednesday, 23 October 2024: Woolworths is bringing the best of Australia to the table this Christmas offering customers a range of festive favourites, classic dishes and new flavours for the holiday season - available in stores and online from this week.
New products available this Christmas include the Biscoff Trifle, Macro Chicken Roast with Honey, Macadamia and Orange stuffing, Salmon Gravlax and Fruit Mince Pies with Apple Brandy. The popular Gold Davidson Plum & Gin Tarts return once again along with the Pavlova Wreath with Daintree Vanilla.
In total, more than 100 specially curated products feature in the range developed in-house by Woolworths own brand team together with Australian suppliers.
Louis Eggar, Managing Director of Woolworths Food Company (Retail) said the range aimed to provide customers with a wide variety of dishes and desserts designed especially for an Australian Christmas.
"The team has really thought of everything this year, not only is it about great taste and value, we also want to take the pressure off preparing the Christmas lunch," Mr Eggar said.
"That's why we're bringing back a number of products in oven ready trays, including the Gold Bacon Wrapped Boneless Turkey Breast filled with a sourdough and native thyme stuffing.
"For those who love to cook, our award-winning hams are back and we are working with our farmers and producers right across the country to make sure the best of Australian fruit and veg are in abundance for salads and side dishes.
"It's not Christmas without dessert and we're taking our Gold Fruit Mince Pies to a whole new level this year, featuring butter shortcrust pastry filled with plump Australian vine fruits and apples and infused with Willie Smith's Tasmanian Apple Brandy.
"The Gold Pavlova Wreath is back with Daintree vanilla and Australian honey roasted macadamias feature in the Gold White Chocolate & Macadamia Pudding.
"And to make planning a little easier at such a busy time of year, we've created a range of Christmas menus to suit a variety of budgets so everyone can enjoy the festive season."
Four festive feasts under $100
Woolworths has created four menus to spark inspiration for shoppers, catering to a range of occasions and budgets. Handpicked with an assortment of Own Brand products, these menus have been designed as a guide that shoppers can easily customise.
Each plan features three courses, blending Christmas classics with affordable entertaining essentials for a delicious and budget-friendly spread*. They include:
Under $75 Classic Value: For those who want to enjoy a delicious Christmas feast without breaking the bank! This menu features a gourmet cheese and olive platter to start, followed by a succulent Pork Shoulder Roast with a sweet apple sauce and finished with a classic Pavlova topped with berries and cream. Serves up to 6.
Under $100 Aussie Classic: Indulge in a Christmas feast that's both elegant and effortless. Begin with a curated selection of Thomas Dux antipasto, featuring cheeses and artisan meats. For the main course, enjoy a glazed Half Leg Ham with fresh salads and roasted potatoes before a classic Pavlova adorned with mango, passionfruit, and cream. Serves up to 8
Under $100 Traditional Taster: A variety of appetisers including Arancini + Mozzarella Balls, with cheddar cheese, sopressa and crackers. The main course includes some Seasoned Festive Family Roast Chickens, carrots, pumpkin and broccoli. To finish, there's a choice of Christmas Pudding with custard or Iced Fruit Cake with vanilla custard. Serves up to 8.
Under $100 Festive Favourites: Starting with Sticky Glazed Chicken Portions, Truffle Polenta Chips and Garlic Aioli; the main course features a Pork Shoulder Roast with apple sauce accompanied by classic sides like carrots, potatoes and beans. For dessert, there's a Classic Berry Trifle and Chocolate Rum Balls to finish off the festive feast. Serves up to 8.
The details of the menus will become available for customers to view on the Woolworths website from November 1 and will be available as lists on the Woolworths app to help customers easily shop the menus.

This Christmas, Woolworths is making the festive shop easier than ever with a range of convenient options. Whether shoppers are short on time or simply prefer to skip the crowds, they can order groceries online and have their groceries delivered, or choose to pick up with Direct to Boot.
There are also new tools for savvy shoppers who are looking for even more ways to manage their budget. Watchlist is a new feature in the Woolworths app designed to help shoppers manage their budgets and never miss a great special on their favourite items in the lead up to Christmas.
With Watchlist, customers can easily 'heart' items they want to keep an eye on and receive notifications when those items go on special or offer.
