People passing through Mildura's CBD will notice some changes in coming weeks as work starts on four new placemaking projects in the Langtree Mall.

Part of the CBD Revitalisation Project, the following projects will be established in the mall:

  • A grassed area for people to use near the existing stage
  • Planter boxes including more plants and trees to provide shade
  • Structures with reactive lighting
  • Misters to use during the warmer months.

Work will start in early September and is scheduled to be completed in November.

While there is expected to be minimal impact on traders or events, some sections of the Langtree Mall will need to be fenced off while the works are underway.

People passing through the mall are asked to follow any signage in place during this period.

If there are instances where traders may be impacted by the works they will be contacted directly ahead of work starting.
