Pump up your basketballs and dust off your trainers, families in Pyalong will soon have an exciting new play space to explore right in the heart of the town.
Work on the Pyalong Social Family Recreation Space at Town Centre Park is set to start this week (March 22) and will be ready for use in May 2021, weather permitting.
The play space will feature a new climbing cube, slide, swing set and a basketball half-court. There will also be nature play areas featuring logs and stepping stones.
The new space will provide extra facilities for locals in the town centre. It will also encourage visitors to spend more time in the town and explore the area rather than just passing through.
The $120,000 fully Council-funded project is designed as a place to bring people together to socialise and to be active. The plans for the Pyalong Social Family Recreation Space were finalised following community input in 2019 and 2020.
