Queenslander Julie McKenzie is the founder of the Urban Coffee Carrier and is taking on the world stage with her revolutionary reusable coffee carrier. Julie is the first to invent the silicone coffee patent-pending design. She represents Australia in the world's inventiveness and sustainability stakes and intends to push her Aussie product worldwide and make real change.

The Urban Coffee Carrier is a modular tray made from a solid polypropylene base with a silicone overlay to allow for the strength and flexibility of the carrier. In addition, the bag is made from a thick cotton canvas lined with PVC lamination for easy cleaning. These high-quality materials made from our wold-class manufacturers will stay strong and functional for years and stand the test of time.

Julie started her My Willy Wagtail family business because she believes that choosing sustainable solutions could help future generations. While Julie's children were growing up, she could see the world drowning in a throw-away culture. She saw a human social concept where people would use items once and then throw them away, and she was disheartened that her children would grow up thinking this was 'normal'.
Her first task was to change and revolutionise how people transported their drinks, especially since the social behaviours surrounding society's love for coffee were growing. Even though there were recyclable trays, Julie could see the energy and water use, and the rise of greenhouse gas emissions was very impactful. So, she designed the Urban Coffee Carrier as a more sustainable solution to our daily tossing of paper throw-away trays.
