World War II Medal Located

Police have located a World War II (1939-1945) Service Medal during a search of a storage unit at Panorama which they suspect may be stolen or unlawfully obtained.

The medal has been identified as being awarded to a William Stirling Craddock, DOB 22 April 1887.

At the time of his enrolment on 16 April 1942, Mr Craddock was residing at an address in Solomontown and working as a greaser. He was almost 55-years-old at the time of enlisting.
