A Richmond man is over the moon, declaring himself "the world's luckiest man" after scooping up a division one prize in Saturday's Lotto draw.
The Victorian local was among 13 lucky winners nationwide, each securing $401,209.07 in the draw on Saturday, 5 October 2024.
The slim sliced jackpot included 13 winners from Queensland, Victoria, New South Wales, Tasmania, South Australia, and Western Australia, each collecting an equal share of the grand prize.
“I can think of 400,000 reasons why I’m good today,” he exclaimed when speaking to a lotto official.
“I discovered the win late Saturday night. I was watching something, and I thought I’d check my numbers.
“I thought, ‘they look familiar’.
“I’ve been playing the same numbers for years, and they’re a mix of family birthdates and my lucky number 13!I’ve always liked the number 13 – baker’s dozen!
“I’ve always felt lucky – especially with my family – and now even more so.
“I’m going to invest it for the future as I’d like to use the prize to take care of everybody.
“This is the best phone call I’ve had for a long time!”
The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4509 on 5 October 2024 were 13, 30,18, 24, 27 and 15, while the supplementary numbers were 41 and 26.
Across Australia, there were 13 division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4509 – four each in Queensland and Victoria, two in New South Wales, and one each in Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia.
