WorldSkills Australia is passionate about getting young people excited about skills and trades and growing Australia's skills culture. Read on to find out more about the WorldSkills National Championships, Australia's biggest vocational education and excellence competition.
Held every two years, the Championships draw in thousands of apprentices, job hunters, students, and industry participants. Participating in this event can be a lifechanging pathway and could lead to scholarship opportunities, additional study, work experience and even overseas travel.

Regional Competitions
There are more than 500 Regional Competitions held across 34 regions in Australia. Each of these Competitions test the skills and knowledge of the competitors (apprentices, students and trainees) who have the chance to win gold, silver and bronze medals and continue on to compete at the WorldSkills National Championships.

What makes you eligible?
- You are currently undertaking an apprenticeship or traineeship or undertaking studies towards a qualification at an RTO/TAFE or University
If you're not enrolled in an Australian Apprenticeship but have been considering this career pathway and you would like to get involved, you still have time before registrations close.
Australia is currently experiencing some of the highest vacancy rates for Australian Apprenticeships. There has never been a better time to find and start an apprenticeship or traineeship!
