There is an exciting opportunity to apply for the tenders to manage Kempsey and South West Rocks swimming pools, and we would like to encourage any interested locals to apply.
The opportunity will be for three years, beginning 1 July 2025. For the right people, who care about their community and their pools, this could be a chance to make a real splash!
The successful tenderer will partner with Council, who will work closely with the new managers to help simplify some of the complexities of managing an aquatic facility.
You don't need to be a swimming pool expert – you just need to have an interest in public pools and swimming, be committed to providing a great customer experience, as well as some experience in business.
The tender will open on Tuesday 26 November 2024 and will close Tuesday 28 January 2025. All interested people are invited to an informal briefing at 4pm on 4 December at Kempsey pool, where staff will explain what is required to manage a pool, as well as answer any questions.
There will then be a mandatory tender briefing on 11 December at both Kempsey and South West Rocks pools, where people who have or intend to apply for the tender must attend to obtain essential information.
