Wounding Charge At Redbank

Police have charged a woman following an alleged wounding in Redbank yesterday, March 30.

It will be alleged, at approximately 6.30pm, there was an altercation at a Spencer Street address between a 37-year-old woman and a 30-year-old woman known to each other, during which the 30-year-old woman sustained a laceration to her arm.

Police provided first aid to the victim before she was transported to the Ipswich General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A 37-year-old Redbank woman has been charged with wounding and is due to appear before the Ipswich Magistrates Court today.

There is no ongoing threat to public safety.
