Wounding Charge, Bongeen

Detectives from Toowoomba's Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a 27-year-old Wilsonton man following an alleged wounding incident at Bongeen last night, September 13.

Police were called to the Bongeen School Road property just before 7pm to reports of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, a 28-year-old Bongeen man was located with non-life-threatening injuries.

He was transported to Toowoomba Hospital for treatment.

A 27-year-old Wilsonton man was taken into police custody a short time later at Purrawunda.

It will be alleged the pair are known to each other.

The 27-year-old was subsequently charged with one count of wounding.

He was remanded in custody, and is due to appear at Toowoomba Magistrates Court today, September 14.
