Wounding Charges, Hope Island

A man has been charged following an alleged wounding in Hope Island this afternoon, September 25.

It will be alleged around 4.45pm, there was an altercation between four men at a restaurant on Masthead Way.

A 54-year-old man allegedly sustained a stab wound to his back, a 60-year-old sustained a laceration, and a 58-year-old was assaulted.

Emergency services treated the victims at the scene and transported a 54-year-old and 58-year-old men to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A 55-year-old Hope Island man has been charged with one count each of wounding and grievous bodily harm.

He was remanded in custody and is due to appear before the Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow, September 26.
