Wounding Charges, South Brisbane

Police have charged a 57-year-old woman in relation to an alleged serious assault in South Brisbane last night, October 16.

It will be alleged approximately 8.30pm, an altercation occurred at a Hope Street address between three women.

A 36-year-old South Brisbane woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries to her arm and leg and was transported to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.

A 53-year-old Zillmere woman was also transported to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries to her arms and hands.

A 57-year-old South Brisbane woman was taken into custody at the scene and charged with one count each of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and wounding.

She is due to appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court, today.

Investigations are ongoing.
