Bayside Council is offering free 25-minute bike check-ups and service sessions on Wednesday 2 April as part of the Wurridjal Festival.
This service, for adult bicycles, includes a quick tyre, gears and brake check by a bike mechanic, who will fix small issues on the spot, and let you know if more repairs are needed and the potential costs.
Once your bike is serviced you will be able to safely cycle around the Cooks River during the Wurridjal Festival that runs from the 29 March to the 12 April.
The Wurridjal Festival celebrates the annual migration of Wurridjal (mullet) and First Nations cultural practices during this annual event.
This Bike Check and Tune Up is held in collaboration with SSROC, Cooks River Alliance and The Bower.
This project is an initiative of the NSW Environment Protection Authority under the NSW Government's Waste and Sustainable Materials Strategy, and is funded from the waste levy.
